A Message From The Founder
Jords Shami
Growing up in England, I loved going to pantomimes with my family and church group. I truly believe that’s where my love for theatre began.
After moving to the United States, I stayed involved in theatre, starting in middle school at Excelsior Academy and eventually stage managing full productions like The Scarlet Pimpernel. Over the years, my passion for theatre has only grown stronger, and I’ve always dreamed of opening my own company.
In April 2025, I came up with the name The Panto Theatre. I didn’t yet know what it would become, only that it would be a theatre rooted in joy, creativity, and community.
A few months later, in September 2025, the idea for Show on the Go came to me in the most random way possible. I was sitting at a red light, staring at a moving truck, when my theatre brain suddenly thought, “You could fit an entire musical in there.” I started imagining how I’d arrange sets, costumes, and props inside. That spark turned my original idea for The Panto Theatre into something truly unique, a traveling Panto theatre that brings the magic directly to you.
In October 2025, I shared the idea online and began forming a team. My good friend Chalese Craig joined as Vice Chairperson of the Board, and I’m so grateful to also have Aleah Caldwell and Emma Hallett, two incredible people I met through theatre, by my side.
Together, we’re bringing a little piece of British magic to Utah. Spreading joy, laughter, and the spirit of pantomime wherever we go.
